As human beings, we live story. From painting on cave walls, to the
Bible, atop Impressionist landscapes, through urban legends, to
personal doodles, out to Star Wars, between the sheets of celebrity
gossip, to Where the Wild Things Are, and in to the daily promises
we make with ourselves- humanity is constantly spinning a tale and
seeking a narrative.

CORED is dedicated to investigating the human condition, the wonder
it provokes, the quest for understanding that drive us, and the individ-
ual’s existence in a shared society. At the heart of the pieces herein
is a sincere reflection on life, in all its grandeur, grime, and gifts.

Each issue is centered on a different theme, which the contributors inter-
pret in their own way -- fiction, non-fiction, poetry, essay, painting,
or photography. In so doing, individuals are given complete freedom as
well as being unified in a body of work. This is an experiment in motiva-
tion, inspiration, and collaboration. In being part of something larger than
ourselves. Framing the breadth of the content is included well and/or
lesser known myths, fairytales, as well as scholarly insights to highlight
and further bring context to the content.

CORED recognizes that the participation of an audience is an integral
part of the creative act. An artwork is only truly fulfilled when received
