You know how everyone has a story about that time they did some jackass thing in public with their friends and it was really funny? Now times that by ten. The result is Improv Everywhere. They don't just do random goofy BS; they plan missions, assemble teams, then go out into the world and fuck with unsuspecting people's shit, HARD. And they document it all for you to laugh at.

PS My favorite mission is "Best Gig Ever"

From an interview with the Onion A/V Club:

ONION: Did [your shot-by-shot remake of "Psycho"] ultimately work for you?

GVS: Yeah. There were two things: One was just the experiment of seeing what would happen. There was nothing good or bad or right or wrong in the outcome. The other part was whether the studio could make money with it, and that part was okay. It wasn't a disaster. The project was designed in some ways to see what the studios would do if something like that made money. Would it be something they would occupy themselves doing, making shot-by-shot remakes of other movies? Which was sort of a prank, really. [Laughs.]

Here is the thing about Snakes on a Plane: I'm not sure who is playing a joke on who here. Maybe the internet community is playing a joke on New Line studios by pretending to be excited about it. Maybe the studio is playing a joke on the general public by making & releasing it. Hell, maybe I'm playing a joke on myself; maybe after I see the movie my brain will be like, "Ha, ha! I didn't really want to see that crap!" But I do know one thing for sure:

I am there on opening night.

Snakes on a Plane trailer!
